Foreword from Butch:
“Mahalo” means “thank you” in Hawaiian, but cannot adequately express my gratitude to the nice people who have taken the time to send me compliments about my music or performance.

HI Butch,
I was on the Pride of Hawaii in
January 2007 it was a great
trip. I enjoyed the songs you
played and sang. You played all
the special request that I asked
you to do...Now that I am back
in Texas I play the your cd and
reminisce about the great music
that you and Paul played. It was
a very enjoyable trip..
May god be with you

Hello,
Just thought I would send a quick email to say "Thank you" for the memorable
time on the Pride of Hawai`i. Dave and I enjoyed your songs very much!
We also thank you for the time you spoke to us. The Pearl Harbor stories were
very interesting. We bought your
Christmas CD and our 9 grandchildren love it! They sing and dance to it.
When we got home (on
Thanksgiving) about 10:00a.m.
Hawaii time. Our daughter had
the meal all cooked, family was
coming in with their share of food and the happiness was started. I usually cook Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas dinner for about 40 of my family. This year my daughter agreed to try. She did a beautiful job! We were very proud of her! As the grandchildren came in they ALL knocked me to the ground (gently) haha and would not get up. They said Grama "Never leave us again, if you have to go somewhere we will go to!" Of course that was the best part, to be loved and missed that much. Our 2 year old granddaughter kept hanging on me saying "Mine, mine." Guess I'm a little sentimental.
I just read your last Flutter Bylines. I love that kind of stuff! It is very heart warming to read. Thank you for your time and your music! Will look forward to getting more CD's.
God Bless You!
Roberta

Hi Butch,
It's been a long time since I have emailed you. But, guess what? We are
coming back to Hawaii. I can hardly believe it. When we called NCL to
make the
reservations we told them the only ship we wanted to sail on was the
one you
were
performing on. So, on June 1st of 2007 we will sail with you on the
Pride of
Hawai`i.
Little Paul has been taking guitar lessons for two and a half years now
and
walks around the house with his guitar hanging around his neck most of
the
time. I know I have told you this before, but I could never thank you
enough for
the inspiration you gave him to learn to play.
I really hope you will be on that ship next June. Let me know.....We
will all
be so disappointed if this doesn't work out.
Hope everything is going well for you and your family.
Bye for now, Ann

Hi Butch,
Thank you for your kind words.....You are truly on the right track
about
cars, etc......It's true that we fill our minds with so many things and
ideas that just take up "space" when we should be thinking how we can
best be a freind and a blessing to others....You certainly have been
a
great friend to many people....(I'M GLAD THAT YOU ARE MY FRIEND!!!)
May you continue to spread happiness to all the people with whom you
come in contact.
Many blessings and peace
Wilma
